| 1. On October 6, 2025, the Indian Navy will commission its second Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW-SWC), which will be called Androth. The ship will be built at the Naval Dockyard in Visakhapatnam. This event is a step toward improving India’s maritime defence capabilities and shows that the government is still working toward being able to make its own defence products.

| 2. The Union Minister for Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, started the Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025, which is a major national innovation event. It wants to get children from schools all around India to take part in a big hackathon that focuses on creativity and problem-solving. The Buildathon is an event put on by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, and AICTE. Its goal is to get young people to think of new ways to help India grow.

| 3. The Ayushman Bharat initiative has been in place for seven years, and it is changing public healthcare in India in a big way. The goal of the effort is to make healthcare inexpensive and of high quality for everyone. It has made health care more available, less expensive, and brought in a lot of preventive health practices.
आयुष्मान भारत उपक्रम गेल्या सात वर्षांपासून सुरू आहे आणि तो भारतातील सार्वजनिक आरोग्यसेवेत मोठ्या प्रमाणात बदल घडवून आणत आहे. या प्रयत्नाचे उद्दिष्ट सर्वांसाठी आरोग्यसेवा स्वस्त आणि उच्च दर्जाची बनवणे आहे. यामुळे आरोग्यसेवा अधिक उपलब्ध, कमी खर्चिक आणि अनेक प्रतिबंधात्मक आरोग्य पद्धती आणल्या आहेत. |
| 4. India is making quick progress in sustainable energy, especially with new solar power projects. The Ministry of revised and Renewable Energy (MNRE) just put out a revised version of the Solar PV Potential Assessment Report. At the same time, the National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) in Gurugram started the first training program for making solar cells and modules. These efforts are meant to help India reach its goal of having 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030 and being energy independent by 2047.

| 5. The National Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasting (NCMRWF) and New Space India Limited (NSIL) are working together to improve India’s ability to predict the weather. As part of the Mission Mausam project, two Direct Broadcast Network (DBNet) stations will be built up in Delhi/NCR and Chennai as part of this partnership. These stations will make it possible to receive and interpret satellite data from Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites almost in real time. This project is a step toward better weather forecasts, cyclone monitoring, and climate research in India and around the world.

| 6. India will hold its biggest combined military drill in early October 2025. The focus will be on drones and equipment that can stop them. The Army, Navy, and Air Force will all take part in the exercise called Cold Start. It is meant to see how ready the military is to deal with new aerial threats. Madhya Pradesh is the most likely place. The practice will look at what India’s air defence systems are good at and what they need to work on. It builds on what was learned from Operation Sindoor, which was able to stop enemy drone attacks.

| 7. The Government of Bihar has started the Mukhya Mantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana to help women become more financially independent. Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the first payment of ₹7,500 crore to 75 lakh women. This program helps women start their own enterprises in both cities and the countryside. The goal of the program is to create more jobs and make Bihar’s economy stronger.

| 8. Several major world powers, including France, the UK, Canada, and Australia, have officially recognized the State of Palestine in 2025. Portugal, Belgium, Luxembourg, Malta, Andorra, and Monaco have all done the same thing before. The move has made the Israeli-Palestinian conflict more important to the rest of the world, although Israel has strongly criticized it. The recognition brings up fundamental questions about what it means for Palestine’s standing as a state and the continuing war in Gaza.
