| 1. The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) has lately said that they are using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to find a lot of fraud in several state beneficiary programs. CAG K Sanjay Murthy made the announcement about this breakthrough at the second State Finance Secretaries Conference in 2025. The use of AI and ML tools together is changing how audits are done, making them more efficient and open across all government departments
भारताचे नियंत्रक आणि महालेखा परीक्षक (CAG) यांनी अलिकडेच म्हटले आहे की ते अनेक राज्य लाभार्थी कार्यक्रमांमध्ये मोठ्या प्रमाणात फसवणूक शोधण्यासाठी कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता (AI) आणि मशीन लर्निंग (ML) वापरत आहेत. | 2. Recently, the Election Commission of India (ECI) removed 474 Registered Unrecognised Political Parties (RUPPs) from its registry because they had not run in any elections in the last six years. This is part of a bigger attempt to make politics more efficient and keep the electoral system honest. There are now only 2,046 RUPPs left, down from 808 in the last two months.

| 3. On September 19, 2025, the Indian Coast Guard Ship (ICGS) “Adamya” was put into service at Paradip Port in Odisha. Goa Shipyard Limited designed and built this Adamya-class Fast Patrol Vessel (FPV) as the first of eight. This milestone shows that India is becoming stronger at sea and is committed to “Aatmanirbhar Bharat,” with more than 60% of the content coming from India. The ship will work in the ICG Region (North East) from Paradip, which will make coastal security and surveillance stronger.

| 4. Recently, the village of Dhordo in Gujarat’s Kutch area has been completely solar-powered. The United Nations World Tourism Organization has named Dhordo the “Best Tourism Village” in the world. It is now one of four solar villages in Gujarat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate this achievement on September 20 at the “Samudra Se Samriddhi” event in Bhavnagar. This milestone shows that Gujarat is a leader in clean and sustainable energy.

| 5. Brazil has said that it will be the first government to put money into the Tropical Forests Forever Facility (TFFF). This new global fund’s goal is to help protect tropical forests around the world that are under risk. The announcement will be made at a United Nations event in New York. Brazil’s approach is meant to get more money from both rich and poor countries. Brazil could make the TFFF a main goal at COP30, the U.N. climate summit it will host in Belem this November.

| 6. The UK has begun deportations because of its new returns pact with France. The first person to be removed was an Indian citizen who crossed the English Channel in a small boat. The treaty’s goal is to cut down on illegal immigration and make things easier for the UK asylum system.

| 7. The Nanjarayan bird sanctuary in Tirupur city recently saw the Red-necked Phalarope (Phalaropus lobatus), a rare migratory bird. This is the first time this species has been seen in this body of water that is not near the coast. Birdwatchers and members of the Nature Society of Tirupur confirmed the sighting. This species usually migrates along the coast and across wetlands, so these inland stops are unusual for them.

| 8. Shri Piyush Goyal, the Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, opened the Industrial Park Rating System (IPRS) 3.0 in New Delhi. This event was a big deal in the ten-year-long festivities of the Make in India project. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) helped the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) create IPRS 3.0, which aims to improve India’s industrial infrastructure and make it more competitive. The system will compare industrial parks all around the country, encouraging best practices and drawing in investments.
