| 1. The current monsoon has delivered abnormally heavy rain to Himalayan regions like Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. This has made landslides more likely and pushed river systems to dangerous levels, which puts both lives and infrastructure at greater risk.

| 5. The Indian Navy’s newest Diving Support Vessel (DSV), INS Nistar, is taking part in the global Exercise Pacific Reach 2025 in Singapore. India’s participation shows that it is becoming more involved in international naval cooperation and being ready for underwater emergencies.

The Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) Index in Uttar Pradesh is one of the most recent examples of how gender data may lead to change.
